Join us from 9-11am for a mini-workshop at our Research & Demonstration mini-farm!
Each session includes a garden tour, demonstration of skills and techniques and an opportunity to to get some experience practicing those techniques in the garden. Each week focuses on one or more specific Grow Biointensive principals.
Week 3: Composting - The How and the Why
We'll be discussing the importance of producing and using your own compost in the garden, how to maximize your compost power, and we'll touch briefly again on the role of microbes and on the Carbon and Nitrogen cycle in the soil.
We will also be demonstrating how to build a Biointensive compost pile and discuss which materials to use and why. All participants are invited to get their hands dirty!
