Early Stone Age Wheat, Einkorn

CA$5.00

Early Stone Age Wheat is a varietal of Einkorn, the first domesticated wheat and the ancestors to all modern day wheat today. Easier to digest, higher in protein and antioxidants. The first domestication of Einkorn dates back 3,500 years ago!

Additional Info:

  • Ancient landrace

  • Winter/Einkorn

  • 55” Tall/40+ tillers

  • 3” grain heads

  • Very cold tolerant

  • Excellent genetics

  • Average Grow Biointensive yield (2021)

  • Valuable for acclimatization

  • Long awns

  • Partially hulled

As a 2 row ancient wheat, our yields weren’t spectacular our first 2 seasons. In our 3rd season Early Stone Age Wheat really jumped up in tillering, tripling the original tiller count and achieved an astounding 10lbs per 100sqft. The hulls are strong and while it does thresh out without special machinery, you’ll need to put additional effort into threshing this Einkorn.
