Temuco is a Chilean heirloom originating near the city of Temuco in Chile.
This variety has been our highest yielding quinoa, producing 4’ tall plants with massive cone shaped seed heads. Excellent uniformity, fast growing and VERY cold tolerant.
Plants begin green and turn to a golden/orange color near maturity.
Excellent flavoured white seeds packed with protein!
Like all Quinoa varieties, harvest young leaves for salads!
