We’ve fallen in love with Solina and have been working at selecting the plants with the most abundant tillers for 3 years. Very well adapted to our cold mountainous climate, high yielding! Solina can even be added to other flours to improve flavor and baking quality! This is a must have for anyone into wheat!
Solina shows very quick adaptability, with a standout plant in 2020 reaching 60” in height with 50 tillers!
Solina was also 1 of 2 varieties (Ukrainka as well) to cope with our 2020/2021 snow pack of 5 months, showing little damage and full recovery come spring.
Note: Very susceptible to lodging, we recommend supporting Solina as seed begins to add weight to the tops of plants.
